A Study on the Recognition and Satisfaction of Welfare Services for the Elderly in Kyungnam Island

Abstract

|
This paper focus on the facts that what kind of relationship is among old people’s recognition, recipient experience, and satisfaction about welfare services for the elderly in Kyungnam Island -especially Hansan and Yokji Islands. The results were as following; firstly, old people’s recognition, recipient experience, and satisfaction about welfare services for the elderly was generally low, but welfare services use wish of the elderly was high. Secondly, there was significant difference in old people’s recognition on welfare services according to educational level. Thirdly, there was significant positive(+) correlation between old people’s recognition and recipient experience of welfare services health-medical-long term care, social services, and leasure-social activities. Fourthly, there was negative(-) correlation between old people’s recognition and satisfaction on the health-medical-long term care. The policy suggestion was that services infrastructure of welfare services for the elderly must be established to assess to diverse welfare services easily.
